A six piece band creating a sound mash-up of beatnik-surf-lounge-exotica, playing songs from the annals of vintage Americana, originals penned by Steve Purcell and Tim Neal and covers from the likes of Buddy Holly, Billy Idol, the Buzzcocks and Devo. Always slicker than candy scented lipgloss, and as cool as the moonlight glinting off the hubcaps of a ’59 Chrysler growling through the Hollywood Hills. As surprising as neon flickering in the dark, and as familiar as the glow of a cigarette in the dark of a grindhouse cinema.

This album is lo fi, low down, and super cool.

“Are these people nuts?” – Dan McClenaghan, All About Jazz, Oct 2011

“I was immediately drawn into a world of late-night psychedelic jazz and love songs laced in moonshine.” – John Freeman Writing, UK, 2011

“The disc focuses, lovingly, on standards from the 1950s and laces them, bizarrely but immaculately, with vestigial psychedelia, electro-acoustica and surf twangadelica. The result sounds like a David Lynch movie looks, but with a warm embrace replacing Lynch’s icy grip on the spine.” – Chris May, All About Jazz, Sept 2011
