Hetty Kate / Lisez l'Etiquette Records is committed to making hettykate.com ("the Site") accessible to as many people as possible, regardless of ability or technology.
What We Do
We aim to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 at Level AA where practicable. As an independently managed artist website, we are continually working to improve accessibility and usability for all visitors. Measures we have taken include:
- Semantic HTML with proper heading hierarchy
- Descriptive alt text on all images
- Sufficient colour contrast between text and backgrounds
- A "Skip to Content" link for keyboard users
- Screen reader-friendly labels on navigation and interactive elements
- A fully responsive layout that works across devices and screen sizes
- Accessible form labels on the contact form
Known Limitations
While we strive for full accessibility, some areas of the Site may have limitations:
- The Bandsintown concert listings widget is a third-party embed whose accessibility is outside our direct control
- Some older photographs may have limited alt text descriptions
- Video content hosted on YouTube relies on YouTube's own accessibility features and captioning
- PDF documents (such as press kits) may not be fully screen reader compatible
Third-Party Content
The Site integrates content from third-party services including YouTube, Bandcamp, Spotify, and Bandsintown. The accessibility of this embedded content is governed by those respective platforms and is outside our direct control.
Browser and Device Compatibility
The Site is designed to work with current versions of major browsers including Chrome, Firefox, Safari, and Edge, on both desktop and mobile devices. If you experience issues with a particular browser or assistive technology, please let us know.
